Q: What method of cleaning do you use?
A: The method of cleaning that we use is known as hot water extraction, otherwise known as steam cleaning. We use truck mounted units. This is the method required by all the major carpet manufacturers to fulfill their warranty requirements.
A: Bio-contaminants, volatile organic compounds, combustion products, asbestos, dust mites, chemical contaminants, outdoor pollutants, pesticides, allergens, grease and oil deposits, sand, soil, food particles, bacteria, and a host of other really gross stuff will make it’s way into your carpets! Quite simply, your carpet acts like a sink: It collects and filters all of the above mentioned contaminants.
This collection and filtering process traps these contaminants within your carpets, which actually helps clean the air that you breath and in turn allows you to live a healthier life (Hard surface floors may allow contaminants to roam throughout the indoor environment).
But, like any other filter system, your carpets need to be cleaned on a regular basis, or it will lose its filtering ability. If an excess of contaminants have collected within the carpets of your home, they actually could be contributing to your family’s health and allergy problems.
Dr. Michael Berry, Deputy Director of the Environmental Criteria and Assessment Office of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) stated, “Based on what I have learned from researchers working in the United States, Canada, and Western Europe, I have reached the conclusion that carpeting and fabrics that are not properly cleaned and maintained have the potential to cause a variety of health problems inside the building and home environments.”
A: We want to ensure that you are getting value for your money. By having a complete carpet evaluation done for your home, we will be able to provide you with an exact total before the technician begins the work. Some rooms may require wall to wall cleaning, while other rooms may only require traffic area cleaning. By having a carpet evaluation done you can choose the best value for your home.
A: Yes. We can give you an estimate, but this will only be a ball-park figure. There are several factors that are covered in the on-site carpet evaluation that we can’t provide with a telephone quote.
We offer several cleaning packages, and by having a carpet evaluation done, you will receive the information you need to choose the package that will best protect your assets and also be the most cost effective for your situation. This will help you save a lot carpet hassles and a lot of money on the longer run.
A: We have made some recent improvements to our truck mounted vacuum system that allows us to remove over 95% of the cleaning solution from the carpet, leaving the carpet only slightly damp after cleaning. The drying time can vary depending on soiling conditions of the carpet and humidity levels inside the home, however the average is only 4-6 hours for the carpet to dry after cleaning.
Here is what you can do to get your carpet dry even faster.
- The warmer you keep your home, the faster the carpet will dry. A house that is 72 degrees will dry twice as fast as a house that is 63 degrees.
- Air holds very little water. When the air has filled with moisture, the carpet stops drying. Increase airflow, and carpet will dry faster. This can be accomplished by turning on the air exchange or opening windows. Even on a cold rainy day, the carpet will dry fast if the house is kept war, with just one window open a few inches on each end of the house.
- Fans pointed at the carpet will circulate the moist air away from the carpet, so dry air can replace it.
- Air conditioners and dehumidifiers will pull moisture out of the air, and are useful if the windows are closed.
- Avoid putting towels or sheets on the carpet, because this will restrict airflow and slow drying
A: About 25 years ago when in-home carpet cleaning first begun, the most popular cleaning method was Shampoo. Shampoo left a sticky residue that did cause re-soiling to take place. The method of cleaning that we use does not leave a residue, and your carpet will not re-soil quickly.
We'll let you in on a little secret. As you know, when you wait twice as long to mop your floors, it's much harder to get them sparkling clean again. It takes three times as long, and a lot more elbow grease, too! You might even need to get down on your hands and knees to scrub those stubborn spots, spills, and stains. Well, your carpet is no different! It's much easier to get it clean and keep it that way, by giving them a regular cleaning every six months. THE END RESULT: Cleaning time on average will be cut in half, which means you'll be saving money and time. Also, cleaner carpets will need much less cleaning agents to get the job done, so you'll be saving money that way, too! Go figure…

A: We have a couple of different cleaning packages available for you. Most furniture moving is included in the two top cleaning packages. Most furniture includes sofa, loveseats, chairs, tables, nightstands and most dressers.
Rule of thumb is: - if two men can move and reset the items, we will move it if requested. We typically clean around most other furniture unless you want us to move it. In which case, then there will be an extra charge for this service. If you want us to move furniture we ask that you have all surfaces cleared.
Due to insurance restrictions, we DO NOT move breakables, computer and electronic or audiovisual systems. Please also do move all small items off the carpeted areas to be cleaned before we arrive.
A: We would recommend you have a carpet evaluation done to allow us to better know what the job will entail. We can clean and deodorize the carpet with a product that is designed to remove smoke odors. But keep in mind that there are more factors involved than just the carpeting; the walls and drapes may need to be cleaned as well, to totally eliminate unwanted odors. This is why it is best to have a complete evaluation done.
A: Our Technicians have been trained in proper cleaning methods and products. The cleaners that we use are designed to gently remove traffic lanes and general soiling, without affecting the stain resistant qualities that are built into the carpet. Stain guard protection does wear off with vacuuming and foot traffic, and therefore we do recommend having it re-appli4ed regularly.
A: For best results we ask that you five the carpet a thorough vacuuming before we arrive. If you would like us to do this for you using our high-powered professional equipment, this service is offered at an additional charge. Call for more information: IL – (618) 288-2828 MO - (314) 664-8844

A: Yes, we can. Wool carpeting requires special cleaning agents, and our technicians are trained in this procedure. Wool fibers are very absorbent and therefore tend to collect soil faster and to a larger extent than other carpets do. It is recommended that wool carpets be cleaned regularly. Wool does take longer to dry because it is so absorbent.
A: This is the product that is put on your carpeting at the factory ti help it stay clean longer. It wears off with vacuuming and everyday foot traffic. Manufacturers recommend that it be re-applied form time to time. We will give you more information about this fantastic product when we come to your home.
A: The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) suggests vacuuming at least twice a week in heavy traffic areas, and once a week in all other areas. Regular vacuuming removes the majority of dry and loose soils from your carpets before they become ground in and imbedded in the pile; this is key to healthy living environments.
